Open Schooling: Pathway to Bright Future for School Dropout and Failed Students

The objective behind open schooling in India is to impart fundamental education to all children of society without any discrimination. In a developing economy like India, where the population is over one billion and the socio-economic scenario of common people is quite odd, under such circumstances regular education for every child is quite difficult. Today, to impart mandatory schooling education to every child of the country, Government is making various policies, but unfortunately, those policies are not proving fruitful.

Today, where India is on the verge of becoming an economic superpower, the same country is facing some major issues like school dropout of students. According to the report by Unified District Information System for Education Plus (UDISE+), more boys dropped out of school at the secondary level as well as in primary classes (1 to 5), while the number of girls dropping out of school in the upper primary classes (6–8) was higher than that of the boys in 2019–20.

The problem is not limited to school dropout only rather students who failed in class 10th (High School) and class 12th (Higher Secondary), also leave school without completing their education.
